A few answers about installation, your data and the current scope of the app.
How do I install ArkGene?
Open the Microsoft Store listing and install the app on a Windows x64 computer. The download is free. ArkGene requires Microsoft Edge WebView2 Evergreen Runtime.
Do I need an account?
Import and local planning work without an account. Discord sign-in is optional; account data is covered by the privacy policy.
Are my creatures uploaded to the cloud?
Your library and plans stay on this device. Cloud creature synchronization is planned. Uninstalling the app removes its local data, so keep your original ARK exports.
Does ArkGene change game files?
The app reads ASA exports and leaves the source files unchanged. It supports breeding analysis and planning.
Do the results cover every server?
Calculations depend on export data and server settings. Custom multipliers and mod data need separate verification. Compare points with the game and use explicit corrections when needed.
Is Tribe available yet?
Group administration, invitations and roles are in private testing in version 0.2.3. They are not in the published 0.2.0 release. Shared libraries and creature synchronization remain planned.
