ArkGene is not open-source software. The license below governs current access to the project and its materials; it is not a general end-user license for a public installer. Information about installing the public release is available in the official Microsoft Store listing.

1. OWNERSHIP
ArkGene, including its source code, documentation, original visual assets,
product designs and other materials in this repository (collectively, the
"Software"), is proprietary. Except for third-party materials identified in
the repository, all rights, title and interest in the Software are reserved by
the copyright holder.
2. LIMITED AUTHORIZED ACCESS
Access to this repository does not make the Software open source and does not
transfer ownership. A person expressly authorized by the copyright holder may
view the Software and create proposed changes solely for evaluation or for
contributing to ArkGene under the repository's Contributor and Intellectual
Property Policy. This permission is personal, limited, revocable,
non-exclusive and non-transferable.
3. RESTRICTIONS
Unless the copyright holder gives prior written permission, you may not, in
whole or in part:
a. copy, reproduce or use the Software outside the limited permission above;
b. modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works from the Software;
c. publish, disclose, distribute, upload, host or otherwise make the Software

Proposed contributions are governed by CONTRIBUTOR_POLICY.md. No contribution

because it is submitted. Rights for each accepted contribution must be
documented in the manner required by the copyright holder before merge.
5. THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS
Third-party software, fonts, trademarks and other materials remain subject to
their respective licenses and owners' rights. A third-party notice or license
applicable to a specific file takes precedence for that file only.
6. BRAND
The ArkGene name, logo, visual identity and original brand assets may not be
used, copied, modified or distributed without prior written permission. No
trademark rights are granted by this License.
7. NO WARRANTY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS",
WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER IS NOT
LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGE OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM ACCESS TO OR USE
OF THE SOFTWARE.
8. PERMISSION REQUESTS
Requests for a commercial license or other written permission must be directed
to the repository owner through the xakune account on GitHub. Permission is
effective only when expressly granted in writing by the copyright holder.
